Alternative transportion is not just a good idea its a matter of national security since the greatest transfer of wealth in the history of mankind has / is taking place. OPEC makes enough in 6 days to buy GM and enough in 3 years to buy 20% of S&P 500. Our government has let us down by letting big oil suppress the electric car in america. In 1998 oil was $8 /barrel now its $TOO HIGH strangling USA economics. Economies thrive on cheap energy and starve without it. WE NEED THE ELECTRIC CAR AND NOW! Imagine 50 cent gasoline and never having to stop at gas stations unless you are going more than 100 miles !

ELECTRIC CARS SUPPRESSED FOR OIL MONEY!
In London, they offer free parking to Electric Vehicles (EV's). Two reports say the some suburban towns near london have almost completely adopted some sort of Electric Car (at least as a 2nd car) for commuting everyday. Electric Cars Get Another Boost in London
Source: Edie.Net Published: 31 Jul 2008 - 100 more charging stations to be installed and 'Electric Car Partnership' formed to encourage manufacturers to accelerate introduction of electric cars. !
Why isn't the USA leading the pack in this method that would reduce the dependence on OIL by up to 90% ? Why is it so hard for foriegn EV makers to sell in america? Why isn't our government nurturing the Electric Car?
The big Auto, Oil, and Defense, corps are doing as little as possible, but just a little, to create the illusion that they are trying to promote alternative fuel vehicles when in fact they are suppressing the EV in america.
They feverishly recalled and destroyed 1110 brand new EV1's in the late 1990's (see "Who Killed the Electric Car" http://www.ev1.org/ ) and now hype a super expensive H car that everyone knows is dangerous, expensive to fill, hard to fill, and far away in the future. Why would they destroy evidence of a great car? Conversely, Why would they destroy evidence of a poor car so completely (remember yugo, gremlin, pinto)? Neither scenario makes sense. If the car was poor they'd force it out there anyway to minimize losses. The destruction of evidence they don't want the world to know about is a primary suspect motive.
The EV is here now, yesterday, and they are ignoring it at the same time as they make fantastic unbelieveable profits from the blood of your young being sacrificed in VietRaqIstan .
They love this perpetual war for oil we don't really need.
This high oil is hurting (bankrupting many ) our economy and is affecting every citizen in USA in a negative manner.
We called Cobasys corp which had originated the control of the Ni-Mh patent. They told us that GM originally collaborated with the inventor "Ovshinsky" to create the Ni-MH battery. It was a smash hit ~!
GM gained control of the patent for the Ni-MH (Nickel - Metal Hydride) battery. One Ford executive was overheard saying " that Ni-MH battery, you can't break the damn thing! " GM later sold controlling interest in that patent to TEXACO.
TEXACO was later bought by CHEVRON! Today Cobasys says that the battery is not being suppressed and is available if you buy on quantity for the todays price of $2000 per battery. The EV's need about 15 of these to operate which adds a significant increase in sticker prices (but "American" Automakers won't make them anyway, why?) .
So they proceeded to raise the price making a $50 battery for electric cars cost a $1000 (now as high as $2000) per battery that no one can afford.
This massive increase over the original price of about $50 to $1000.00 (now $2000) has successfully prevented most from using it, effectively suppressing the EV in America while preserving the illusion that its available. By this method they have sold out all americans for money!
Honda couldn't afford the extra cost and so had to actually solder hundreds of D size flashlight batteries together in one big pack to provide power for its first production model of the Insight hybrid; but it shows how bad they wanted to use that battery.
Toyota also similarly could not afford the added cost to each vehicle and had to solder about 60 small Ni-MH batteries together into one pack to provide power for its Prius Hybrid. Toyota in the late 90's built the Toyota RAV-4 EV (electrive vehicle) using the then available and cheaper full EV size Ni-MH batteries.. Most all of these RAV4 EV's are STILL on the Road and with the same ORIGINAL NI-MH batteries more than 10 years later. Toyota spent a whole year researching using LI-Ion but then went back to NIMH : why? because only NIMH can do the job.
Today the prius and insight are still using these make do battery packs waiting for the Oil War Mongers control on the Ni-MH battery to run out (2010).
These 15 minute recharge batteries are truly scary to the big corps who thrive on the OIL WARS! This explains why they bought the patent and made the price unbearably high.
You may have noticed that after they Killed the Electric Car they started raising the price of oil drastically and have not let up even now we are at incredibly high prices per barrel for crude. WHY? Because they know that the patent they bought runs out in 2014 and after that the world will discover how good the EV's really are when they have a great battery like the Ni-MH is.
What can you do?
Demand Electric Cars from your dealer or you won't buy anything !
Demand your government get out of VietRaqIstan.
Demand Investigations into the suppression and manipulation that was orchestrated by the corps who control our congress and white house, (yes they even control the supreme court. )
Silence is the doom of good people. We only need to speak out enmasse to create a better world. PEACE !
ECD Ovonics licenses NiMH battery tech to G4 Synergetics
Filed under: EV/Plug-in
ECD Ovonics, a pioneer in nickel metal hydride battery technology has agreed to license some of their patents to G4 Synergetics. G4 will pay royalties to Ovonics in order to build NiMH batteries consumer applications and potentially also Chinese scooter and bicycle applications. They won't be allowed to make batteries for any automotive or other transport uses. [Source: ECD Ovonics]
The Birmingham News reports that the Germany company filed a lawsuit in federal court contending the Michigan-based battery maker (a spin-off of ECD that was originally co-owned with GM and known as GM-Ovonics) is "refusing to fulfill its commitment to produce" battery packs for the carmaker....
In a very terse, matter-of-fact interview with Hybrid Cars.com, Cobasys president and CEO Tom Neslage sought to counter some of the negative publicity and speculation swirling around his company. For example: Is GM going to buy you? No comment.
